According to the editors the experience of the past 10 years has shown that the mythical Internet universality is less than dreamed. The web reproduces and still powers the existing asymmetries on the market of production and knowledge diffusion. Domain control, English supremacy, and infrastructure avail- ability are some of the many pitfalls that still makes the exchange of studies about communication in Latin America difficult.
