Dan Mulligan and Melissa Napolitano presented the session “Polishing a Diamond: Making a Good CI product GREAT.” This presentation received the 2010 Conference Best-Presentation Award based on the audience’s evaluations, and forms the basis for this article.]n Although the title itself is self-explanatory, for any competitive intelligence product one must take time to dig the diamond out of the earth and polish it -- a task that is not as easy as it sounds. The driving force behind the material in the original presentation was to provide three takeaways:
