Variational methods were used to produce a system of motion equations for a three-layer composite cylindrical shell with orthotropic elastic bearing layers and elastic filler. The Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses are assumed for thin bearing layers; the work of stress in the filler layer, for both transverse shear strain and thickness reduction, with linear approximation of displacements in the transverse coordinate, is assumed. The displacement continuity conditions are specified for the layer contact boundaries. Radial, longitudinal, and circumferential forces of inertia are taken into account. The problem of the shell natural vibrations is stated and solved. A series of analytical solutions is presented; the dependence of the natural vibration frequencies on the filler stiffness and the shell parameters is analyzed.
