摘要

We perform heat transfer analysis of viscous fluid flow through a collapsible tube with variable viscosity. The fluid considered is an incompressible Newtonian fluid with variable viscosity depending upon the space variable. Interesting observations have been noted regarding the influence of variable viscosity characteristics on various quantities of physical interest. It is observed that the skin friction at the tube wall decreases in the case of variable viscosity in both situations: namely, Re<0 and Re<0, but the Nusselt number shows the opposite behavior for the cases Re>0 and Re<0 when the fluid with variable viscosity is considered.
