Ofcom wants to extend rules that make it easier for you to switch broadband, but won't implement them until the middle of next year - at the earliest. Under regulations introduced last year, customers can switch between internet service providers (ISPs) that use the BT Openreach network (BT, Sky, EE and TalkTalk) using a 'one touch' process. This means you need to contact only your new provider to begin the switch.
