Entering dates into a spreadsheet can be tricky, with scope for errors and format confusion. Financial packages like Microsoft Money let you pick dates from a calendar when making transaction entries. You can have the same feature when creating spreadsheets if they are produced with recent versions of Excel (see screenshot 1). It's not only convenient but guarantees a valid date is entered. Open a new workbook. Press Alt & F11 to start the VBA editor. On the Insert menu choose UserForm. A blank form and a Toolbox should open. If there's no Toolbox, choose Toolbox on the View menu. Right-click on a space in the Toolbox f and choose Additional Controls. I Scroll down until you find Calendar Control 9 or 10 and choose it. This adds another tool to the Toolbox.
