The outsourcing profile in Figure 1 shows how outsourcing of the disaster recovery function compares with 11 other functions in our parent study, IT Outsourcing Statistics. Disaster recovery outsourcing scores in the low range in frequency, meaning that the number of organizations currently availing themselves of these services is relatively low. The outsourcing level, however, is the highest in the study. When organizations outsource disaster recovery, they often outsource most or all of the function.
