Horrors! A giant vegetable-ravaging rabbit monster is attacking the gardens in a small northern England village. Who will save the day—and the carrots, tomatoes, and courgettes? Why, Wallace and Gromit, of course. The intrepid inventor and his faithful dog, now successful owners of Anti-Pesto, a humane pest-control business, have already been helping the gardeners prepare for a giant vegetable competition by removing veggie-nibbling bunnies. So, who better to apprehend a mysterious beast? When contest hostess Lady Tottington hires the beloved plasticene characters to protect the plots from the hare-y fiend, the fun begins. Nick Park, Chicken Run director and Wallace & Gromit creator, joins Steve Box in directing Aardman Animations' and DreamWorks Animation SKG's Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. And if history is any indication, the feature-film debut this month puts the Wallace & Gromit film in line for a Best Feature Animation Oscar next year. Two of Park's Wallace & Gromit short animations, "A Close Shave" and "The Wrong Trousers," won Oscars; the third Wallace & Gromit movie, "A Grand Day Out," was nominated for an Oscar but lost to Park's short "Creature Comforts."
