Microsoft's first flash-memory-based Zune is a com-pelling piece of hardware, but it can't beat the iPod for ease of use and compatibility-and it can't even beat other Zune models for value. Audiophiles with a large media collection would be better served by springing for the hard-drive-based Zune 80, which offers 10 times the storage of the $199 8GB flash model we tested, for just $50 more.
