Intel Corp. has appealed a European Commission ruling that it violated antitrust laws. The appeal of the S1.4 billion fine, filed in the Court of First Instance in Luxembourg, contends that the EC did not consider evidence supporting Intel's arguments.rnMicrosoft Corp.'s revenue declined 17% to S13.1 billion, and its net income fell 29% to just over S3 billion, in the quarter that ended June 30. The company cited continued weakness in global sales of PCs and servers.rnMozilla Corp. has issued patches for 11 vulnerabilities -10 rated "critical" - in Firefox 3.0, the version of the open-source browser that's slated to be discontinued in January. Five of the 11 vulnerabilities are in the browser's rendering engine.
