The authors propose a signal processing method that-during the broadcast of international sporting events-transports title information in different languages, in Extensible Markup Language (XML) format, and selectively merges one of the translations, flexibly, with images on the receiver end.rnTraditional methods either broadcast titles in a single language or add ad hoc titles to the images; the former does not support the multilingual needs for international broadcasting, while the latter loses the richness of the original information from the broadcaster.
