A small island constructed of granite and seashells sits in Charleston (S.C.) Harbor. Visitors come and go on ferries plying the harbor's warm, blue waters to see the historic spot where the shots that started the Civil War were fired on Fort Sumter almost seven score and four years ago. Today, if you're watching Dark Command or Glory or Gone With the Wind in a nearby home theater put together by Russ Pritchard and his Audio Warehouse, the celluloid shots could hardly sound more like the real things. Just a couple of miles from Charleston's historic district sits Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park, home of the city's beloved RiverDogs minor-league baseball team and home-for-an-evening to artists such as Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, among others. But sit in the newly constructed theater of this 100-year-old home and sometimes it'll sound as if Bob and Willie are playing their biggest hits. Depending on which of the six members of the family living here is using the theater, other times it'll sound like Verdi and Van Halen, Beethoven and Led.
