摘要

Performance management may be useful in transferring or sharing best practices in construction projects. Increasingly, knowledge of Critical Success Factors (CSFs) enables a construction company to be more successful. Tang, Atkinson and Zou have created a new method using a SWOT ranking approach to identify and rank the significance of CSFs. This enables a medium-sized construction consultancy to have a better idea of their potential and capability in the international market. In turn, this helps them develop a competitive advantage. The authors use a combination of entropy ranking analysis methods and SWOT techniques to evaluate the significance of CSFs. The resulting CSFs provide a good understanding of what matters for international market expansions. This provides a basis for medium-sized consulting companies to decide on whether to expand their business internationally.
