摘要

Disputes arising out of construction projects abound and keep many a construction law practice flourishing. Such disputes invariably relate to one of three issues-time, payment or quality. Construction solicitor, Kevin Barrett has written a comprehensive and readable book examining the third of these causes of disputes: problems with the quality of the project. In the space of 20 chapters, spanning nearly 200 pages, he analyses the legal issues pertaining to defective work, regardless of whether the defects are caused by deficient design, faulty workmanship and/or sub-standard materials.rnThe book is intended for those working in the many facets of the construction industry and professions, rather than for the legal fraternity. The style is therefore very accessible for those without a law degree and the language used is not full of obscure legal terminology.
