Refurbishment and fit-out contractor S&T UK has fallen into administration. The £114m-turnover firm collapsed following a protracted legal dispute and seven winding-up petitions. In 2018, the London-based contractor was involved in a legal battle over a pay dispute with client Grove Developments, regarding a £26m Premier Inn Hotel at Heathrow. S&T sent a £14m payment application to cover a part of the works, prompting a legal case that was ultimately won by the developer. The first petition was brought against the firm in October 2017 by West Sussex-based Concept Building Services (Southern) Ltd, which claimed to be a creditor. Weeks later, the petition was dismissed at the Royal Courts of Justice in Liverpool.
