Moda Living has won approval for a £260m build-to-rent scheme in Hove. The project, on a former trading estate close to the town's train station, will involve the development of 824 homes alongside new public gardens; 10 per cent of the homes will be classified as affordable. Moda Living, a joint venture between Caddick Group and real estate firm Generate Land, has not yet announced a contractor for the scheme, which was approved by Brighton and Hove Council last week. Moda Living planning director James Blakey said: "The decision will enable us, together with our partners, to revitalise a long-dormant brownfield site with new homes and employment opportunities, while also investing £10m into the local community, including over £4m on projects spanning education, employment, sport, public art and green spaces, alongside the creation of over 560 full-time jobs."
