I remember helping him put up blinds when I was younger," I said as we sat in the boardroom at CSAO's head office in Etobicoke.rnRick went on to explain that me observing my father and having him show me how to use a drill illustrates how effective informal learning can be. '"This is how we learn," he said. "We learn by example, we learn by sharing stories and anecdotes, and through actual experiences. Long before my day and your day, people sat around and talked about what happened. That's how information was passed along."
