1. The German deodorants and bodysprays market is worth an estimated €760 million in 2008, up 5% on 2007. The increase can be attributed to a growing consumer base, a relatively hot summer and the growing trend away from deodorants and bodysprays seen as a commodity purchase and towards lifestyle accessory.rn2. Antiperspirants and bodysprays, taking 47% of value sales, are growing faster than deodorants. Male-specific lines now take a 42% share of the market, outperforming female lines.rn3. Sprays lead in terms of format, especially among women, with market share climbing to 61% in 2008. Roll-ons take second place while other formats lose ground.
