The ￡1bn Scottish Framework deal has hit the ground running, awarding ￡245m of work in total since its launch in November. Bam Construction leads the field with a ￡120m deal to redevelop the Dumfries Royal Infirmary Hospital for NHS Dumfries and Galloway. Meanwhile, CJ understands another two health schemes worth ￡30m each have been awarded to Laing O'Rourke and a ￡65m scheme has been won by joint venture Robertson/Dawn. Another two schemes will be awarded shortly. The ￡1bn Frameworks Scotland contract was launched in November. The five framework contractors are Bam Construction, Interserve, Laing O'Rourke, Morrison Construction and Robertson/Dawn. The framework is modelled on the NHS ProCure21 initiative and runs for four years.
