BAM construction has won the first hospital deal tendered under the NHS Frameworks Scotland project. The firm will start on site in April 2010 on the ￡120m redevelopment of the Dumfries Royal Infirmary, which is due for completion in April 2013. The hospital will be the first in Scotland to feature 100% single-bedroom accommodation and the project includes a new 200-bed ward block, plus ambulatory care and outpatient facilities.
