It's somewhat fitting that the first European installation of Bobst Group's new SR8 slitter/rewinder is with a Greek converter. After all, the aptly named Titan equipment line bears the same name as the elder gods who ruled the Earth before the Greek Olympians took over. Athens-based flexible-packaging maker Tsimis SA, sold on the machine after witnessing its world premiere during Drupa 2004 in Germany, was already a long-time Titan slitter/rewinder customer. The new unit brings to five the total number of Titan systems it has in place.
