Artificial sausage casings may not seem like the most glamorous product, but flexible-packaging converter Atlantis-Pak Co. is certainly out to make them the most colorful. The company, headquartered in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, first manufactured its oriented-polyamide casings for sausage and frankfurter production in 1993, selling the product locally. Broader markets and an increase in sales volume led the converter to offer first one-color printing, then six-color printing in 1996.
