As a certified individual you are undoubtedly aware that you are required to earn 15 or more recertification credits every three years in order to retain your certification under the professional credit plan. For some of us that can be a challenge. Sure, we can earn nine credits by staying fully employed in cost estimating, cost/schedule control, project management, or a related field; but what about the rest of the credits? If you are not located near where one of our sections meet, what other options are there? One way is to take seminars and training classes. Information may be available through your employer or by searching the internet for available seminars and training. Corporations, universities, trade associations, and professional societies generally offer classes and training. However, with ever increasing travel costs, this is not always an option. AACE International also offers Distance Learning courses.
