摘要

Cybersemiotics is a unifying theory synthesized in the cybersemiotic star to explain how we relate to the world through a complex adaptive system of cognition and perception in which our body, senses, symbolic systems of interpretation are implied. The matrix tree of art is a model to understand perception and cognition during the creative art process previous to the materialization of the artwork. The objective of this article is to analyze the features of Brier's cybersemiotic star and the matrix tree of art, and to compare them in order to see how they can be mutually enriching in particular to deepen transdisciplinary dialogue between art and sciences, to art theory and to expand human cognition frameworks in general.
