摘要

Although this is not a complete or even completely reliable account on encounters with Roy Ascott, and misses out on all the joy of traveling in his company, whether to the edges of our rounded planet or around our square minds, his companionship at the threshold of the unknown is always greatly appreciated. Furthermore, the author of the following sci-fi-esquc report may be biased. Her investment portfolio includes the technoetic arts and artifacts and highly speculative research under his distributed mentorship. She occasionally contributed to the Technoetic Arts Journal and even briefly participated in the expansion of the Technoetic Arts Studio to the accelerated futurism of the Far East, coordinating it at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. The terminology in this account is partially borrowed from the founder of the technoetic arts himself, in accordance with his practice of distributed authorship. By participating in creative act the author of this report takes the liberty to plant and grow new concepts in freestyle prose, considering the seeds of ideas from new points of view. Needless to say therefore, the aim of this short account is an attempt to encourage further exploration of technoetics at the intersection of technosphere and noosphere, enabling their advancement in correlation, in a delicate mutual augmentation.
