Results from a comparative study of the time to ear emergence of lines that are carriers of different PpD genes from different growing institutes are presented along with a test for allelism of these lines. It is demonstrated that the Ppd3 gene of the near-isogenic line of the Mironovskaya 808 variety is allelic to the Ppd-B1a gene, and that the Ppd1 gene is allelic to the Ppd-A1a gene, the weakest of all the known genes. Neither of the two genes Ppd3 and Ppd1 is allelic to Ppd-D1a.
