摘要

New motifs for phosphorylation sites associated with calcium-dependent protein kinases were developed using 494 sites experimentally proved in mammalians. Subsequent motif-based search revealed consensus regions in -, -, and -tubulin from Arabidopsis thaliana. The analysis of selected candidate sites and comparison of sequences and structures of homological mammalian and plant protein kinases were performed. Bioinformatic analysis reveals Arabidopsis protein kinases CPK20 (At2g38910), CPK21 (AT4G04720), and GRIK2 (At5g60550) as probable contributors of the plant tubulin code.
