Les Conley (above) has been making ice cream at Oberweis for some 30 years, according to company Chairman Jim Oberweis. After packaging and a stay in the hardener, that ice cream is palleted and stored pending shipment to Oberweis dairy stores and Chicago-area supermarkets (left).rn(Clockwise from top) Milk arriving at the Oberweis plant undergoes an extended battery of lab testing before it can be offloaded. Half-gallon glass bottles are a mainstay of Oberweis' home delivery service.
