In record time, Pomdor AG has installed, validated and acceptance-tested a cold-aseptic bottling line from Krones AG for handling 100% fruit juices, syrup and also carbonated fruit juice beverages at its facility in Sursee. The process permits germ-free but at the same time extremely product-friendly beverage filling to the highest of technological standards. Pomdor is Switzerland's premier producer and vendor of fruit juices. A total of six fruit crushing and pressing plants, including Sursee, located in Switzerland's major fruit-growing areas produce first-class fresh juices Pomdor has been expanding vigorously in recent years. With a workforce of 230, Pomdor achieved sales totaling more than 150 million francs in its 25th-anniversary year of 2002. This success has been driven not least by a dynamically innovative approach to product and packaging policies, backed by investment in more sophisticated bottling technologies.
