Packaging giant Tetra Pak has announced it plans to build a new plant at its Ray-ong site in Thailand, dedicated to producing closures for carton packaging. The €24 million investment, which will create around 60 jobs when it starts production in early 2018, will be capable of producing more than three billion closures every year. With demand for well designed closures on beverage cartons increasing, the new facility will provide much needed local production and essential extra capacity, Tetra Pak notes.
