This issue may be a bit off centre for dairy - we discuss cardiometabolic health and milk alternative drinks on these pages, in addition to the now-usual worries about Brexit for the European Union and the UK, and what new dairy ingredients are on offer for the marketplace. However, as the world is discov-ering, and what we have known in the industry for a long time, is that dairy as a product has a lot to offer humans. It has done so for many thousands of years. And research is beginning to show that good things happen with the heart when dairy is part of the diet. Scientific proof is by its nature a bit slow, but steady. Please see our report from the Dairy Council on page 24.
