As energy costs spiral upwards and the need for more environmentally friendly products increases, the production line is coming under renewed remain green is an issue. Luckily, manufacturers are developing new products to assist with this task. For example, ROKK, a UK-based manufacturer of ice cream machinery, has launched a new RFE range of semi-automatic continuous freezers with low running costs. They operate up to 40 per cent more efficiently than industry equivalents, according to the company. The RFE 600 for example, runs at just 12.5Kwh, in contrast to an average of 17.5Kwh.
