The undisputed market leader on the Russian milk market - that's what Wimm-Bill-Dann has been for a long time. Now this privately owned company has also discovered ESL (extended shelf-life) milk for itself. Since early 2010 it has been investing funds in PET filling capacities at its two dairy facilities in Moscow. ESL 30 milk of The Merry Milkman' (Wessjolyi Molotschnik) and The Little Farmhouse' (Domik v derevne) brands is already accounting for approximately one-fifth of Wimm-Bill-Dann's entire production output of drinking milk. In the Lianosovskij Molotschnyi co-op, one of Europe's biggest dairies, equipment supplier Krones first installed a 14,000-bph ESL line, and one year later, in early 2011, another line rated at 20,000 containers an hour went into operation.
