The repercussions from the tainted milk scandal in China continue to reverberate after authorities closed down a Shanghai dairy recently, which was also involved in the 2008 melamine crisis. Three of the dairy's executives were arrested after officials found more milk powder tainted with the plasticizing chemical.rnThe Xinhua news agency said illegally high traces of melamine were found in products sold by the Shanghai Panda Dairy Company. The disclosure comes more than a year after tainted milk powder from China killed six people, while an estimated 300,000 others suffered with kidney problems and other symptoms. It also brings into question the new food safety laws that were brought in following the scandal.
