The dairy processing industry is no stranger to legislation. Whether it's surrounding hygiene, composition or labelling, the EU is never adverse to adding new rules to the sector. As of 4 July this year, a new piece of environmental regulation with implications for dairy processors will come into force. Awareness of it is very low, but with the right attitude, the legislation could be a blessing in disguise.
