Having become one of the most successful technical trade fairs in recent years, Food Tech Scandinavia changed its name to FoodPharmaTech for the 2007 event. "The food industry shares many similarities with the pharmaceutical industry," explains Ceorg Sorensen, managing director of Exhibition Centre Herning, which plays host to the event. "These similarities are in the form of processes and process equipment, as well as very strict and almost identical requirements in terms of hygiene, traceability and documentation. With this new, very powerful concept, we are complying with the wishes of many of our exhibitors." When FoodPharmaTech takes place on 13 to 15 November, it will feature a wide range of automation equipment and robotics technology. There will also be a focus on IT and communications technology, reducing energy consumption, intelligent packaging, and hygiene and product/production security.
