When it comes to reliability, leased lines sometimes have the least to offer. Corporate networkers like the speed and dedicated bandwidth, but when their backs are against the wall, they need backup they can bank on. For many net managers in Europe, that means ISDN. It's widely available-and so are standalone backup units that can kick in with ISDN circuits whenever the leased line goes down.
