Assurant executive vice president Joe Erdeman hosted vendors and dealers at a CES reception atop The Palms Resort. He told Dealerscope there that his company's strategy in 2014 is to continue planning customized retail programs that serve each individual dealer's client base. "Not one solution fits all and every customer base," he said. "For exam- ple, the rural customer and the metropolitan-area customer are two different customers. You need to understand the customers' wants, and bring value to that, and then build on that, based on their needs, rather than trying to sell the customer something that may or may not serve his needs."
