The above narrative is based on the relevant suras of the Holy QUR'AN, AHADEES (traditions), research of eminent scholars, various TAFASEERS of the Holy QUR'AN, some religious books of other religions and authentic history books. The aim of this humble research work is to highlight the personality of ZUL-QARNAIN, his pageant conquests, his merciful treatment even for his enemies and subdued people and his unblemished faith in one GOD. By all standards he was a righteous ruler and administered justice over the vast areas of his empire. Indomitable facts have been listed to prove that CYRUS, the Persian King is the personality who has been mentioned in the Holy QUR'AN as ZUL-QAR-NAIN. QARNAIN, meaning horns has been used metaphysically as the ruler of two empires.
