Human beings have been blessed with many qualities; some are evident while others are latent. The most important quality is the ability of man to learn and use the knowledge to his advantage. Allah says in the Qur'an: "And He (Allah) imparted into Adam the knowledge of the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels and said: "Tell Me the nature of these if ye are right." (Qur'an, 2:31). From this it may legitimately be inferred that the "the knowledge of all names" denotes man's faculty of logical definition and, thus of conceptual thinking.

机译：人类拥有许多特质。有些是显而易见的，而另一些则是潜在的。最重要的素质是人学习和利用知识的能力。安拉在古兰经中说：“安拉将万物的名称传给亚当；然后他将它们放在天使面前，并说：“如果你们是对的，请告诉我这些性质。” 《古兰经》 2:31）。从中可以合理地推断出“全名知识”表示人的逻辑定义能力，因此也代表概念思维。
