H.E. would you please tell us about your childhood and education? I was born in Landsberg / Warthe. Later on we had to move to the Northern part of Germany, where I spent my childhood and completed my early education. I studied Law and Islamic sciences at the Universities of Marburg and Goettingen as well as in the United States in 1968. I worked as an assistant at Institute of International Law at the University of Goettingen in 1968-1969. I graduated as a doctor of Law in 1969.
