For the Muslims of the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent AHMAD SHAH ABDALI (or DURRANI) is also one of the greatest military heroes who, on 14th January 1761 had won the 3rd Battle of PANIPAT against superior Marhatta forces. He had crushed the Marhatta confederacy that had ambitiously planned to establish "HINDU PAD PADSHAHI" (Great Marhatta Kingdom) in India with relentless struggle against the Muslims who were called 'MALECEHAS'.
