Team MAST is the MoD's preferred source of defence materials and structures research and advice, and is a growing consortium of over 30 organisations recognised as the UK experts in materials knowledge, research, development, demonstration and supply. Since Team MAST was selected through open competition in 2007, we have provided the UK MoD's core materials and structures R&D programme, from high innovation through to delivery of solutions into the current theatres of operations. The consortium comprises defence primes, small and medium-sized enterprises, academic institutions, and research technology organisations, all of which have been selected as best in class and offering unique capabilities and facilities, which allows them to provide the new enabling technologies for current and future platforms. Team MAST is jointly led and administered by QinetiQ Ltd, BAESystems and Imperial College London.
