Environmental legislation in the USA remains a hot topic and gun users in both the civil and military arenas are feeling its impact. It is common these days for police officers and US Military units to train with ammunition made of an alloy that contains no lead. Ammunition used in the field, however, remains largely lead based. 'In law enforcement training officers shoot millions of rounds a year,' says Joseph Benini of SinterFire Inc. 'Facilities now face lead restrictions and outdoor ranges have moved inside. Airborne lead restrictions remain so they need non-lead-based products.'
