Textron acquired AAI in late 2007 in a deal valued at $1.1 billion. AAI will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, with the majority of the business operating within Textron Systems Corporation AAI is engaged in the design, development, testing and manufacture of electronic countermeasure systems; electronic simulation and training systems; electronic testing equipment; specialized vehicles; military tanks; robotics and RPVs; ordnance and ammunition; mechanical support equipment waste-to-energy systems; stokers for heating power; fuel-handling systems; ash-handling systems; solid-fuel firing devices and systems; and the engineering and fabrication of thermoplastic products, including molding, finishing and assembly.
