摘要

Barbados: Parliamentary elections were held in Barbados on February 21, 2013. The incumbent Democratic Labour Party under Prime Minister and Minister of National Security Freundel Stuart was returned with a two-seat margin, winning 16 of the 30 House of Assembly seats, marking the first election victory for the party under Prime Minister Stuart, who took over the Premiership when Prime Minister David Thompson died in office on October 23,2010. The Government had been able to retain office for the full five-year term, before issuing an election date on January 29, 2013. The DLP won 51.28 percent of the vote, with the Barbados Labour Party, with 48.32 percent of the vote, taking all the remaining 14 seats, gaining four seats on their position in the previous Parliamentary session. None of the other contenders in the election gained more than 100 votes apiece.
