Products that offer ease of installation, are backed by extensive testing, and feature high load values and design flexibility can create quite a following in today's design and construction market. Simpson Strong-Tie, a company known for creating structural building systems, has recently introduced products touting these benefits and much more. Simpson's recent introduction of a prefabricated composite steel shearwall called the Steel Strong-Wall R provides a narrow lateral-resisting wall solution, which typically cannot be achieved with a traditional site-built wall. In the summer of 2007, Simpson introduced the most recent version of the Strong-Wall - the two-story stacked Steel Strong-Wall - to provide high load values while using minimal wall space.
