So, how do water companies prepare for an unexpected surge or drop in demand? Here, Marek Lukaszczyk, European and Middle East Marketing Manager at WEG, explores three equipment upgrades that water companies can make, which will increase their agility and efficiency. The United Nations World Water Development Report 2020 states that global water usage has increased by a factor of six over the past 100 years. Climate change is undoubtedly a longstanding consideration for water management, but low rainfall, high population density and intensive agricultural or industrial activity may also result in sustainability issues - without throwing a global pandemic into the mix.
