摘要

A total of 16 actinomycetes were isolated from vegetative soil samples of Nallamala forest and screened for their efficiency for the production of vitamin B12.Among the 16 actinomycetes, Streptomyces DVB1 (1.328???-g/ ml) and StreptomycesDVB11 (1.217???-g/ml) yielded higher titers of vitamin B12. In addition to this, various animals??? fecal samples were screened and found highest content of vitamin B12 in tiger feceswith 1.057???-g/mg of fecal matter.
