We report on reptilian specimens collected in southern Sudan (currently the Republic of South Sudan) in 1978and stored at the Zoologisches Forschungsmuseum Alexander Koenig, Bonn. Six species (one lizard, Leptosiaphos kilimensis,and five snakes, Hapsidophrys lineatus, Thrasops jacksoni, Toxicodryas pulverulenta, Amblyodipsas unicolor,Atheris squamigera) are documented as new records for the fauna of South Sudan and are discussed in a biogeographicalcontext.
